About
Built by the people who run the campaigns.
Makeshift is a product of Makeshift Partners — a strategic advisory firm that helps brands navigate gaming audiences. We built Makeshift because we needed it ourselves.
After years of advising brands on Roblox, Fortnite, and Minecraft activations, we saw the same problem over and over: brands were flying blind. They'd pick games based on player counts alone, spend six figures, and have no idea if they reached their actual customers.
The data existed — scattered across Roblox's API, Fortnite's ecosystem feeds, and dozens of niche trackers. But nobody was looking at it through the lens of “should a brand spend money here?” That's the question we answer every day in our consulting work, so we built the tool to answer it at scale.
Makeshift combines proprietary audience scoring (MVI), cross-platform game intelligence, and a vetted network of 1,600+ creators into one platform. But the platform is only half the picture — behind it is a team that has brokered more UGC brand deals than anyone in the industry.
The Platform
The platform by the numbers
Makeshift isn't just advisory — it's a full intelligence platform your team logs into every day.
We're not an agency. Here's why that matters.
Most companies in this space are game studios. When you hire them, you get their development team — whether or not they're the best fit for your IP. Their incentive is to sell you their builders, not to find you the right ones.
We're strategic advisors. We use data to determine the right platform, the right format, and the right creator for your brand — then we match you from our network and oversee the entire production. Our incentive is your result, not our dev hours.
